Not forgiving yourself and others, is like putting yourself in a cage with the painful memory of a past occurrence, throwing away the key, and choosing to relive it over and over. Forgiveness is the act of freeing yourself, from the negative thoughts and emotions that you have attached to someone, due to a painful experience in your life. The past cannot be undone or changed, but you can move on and forgiveness is the way. Forgiveness is not about condoning the behaviors of yourself and others; it’s about freeing yourself from the experience so you can move forward in your precious life without the burden of the past.
