When you live in fear of what others think about you, their assumptions, opinions, judgments, criticisms and gossip hold more power than your own thoughts and beliefs about yourself. In this self-imposed prison that limits you and your life, your choices are largely determined by outside forces in an attempt to gain the favorable opinion of others as you seek worth outside yourself. However, self-worth is an inside job. That’s why it’s called SELF-worth. Realize that you will never make everyone happy, take back ownership of your life and be a person that you respect and are proud of. Be who you are, and let the chips fall where they may. You get to choose!
