It is true that all kinds of occurrences happen in the course of living. Some you desire and welcome with open arms, while others do not fit into the parameters of your expectations and you resist them. However, being at the mercy of what happens around you is a choice, just as being empowered in the face of your reality is a personal choice. External forces never determine the quality of a given day in your life. It is always you – the internal force of your mindset – that determines the quality of your life experience no matter what may arise externally. If your life is a ship, and you are the captain, may you always choose a course that allows your adventure to be a positive one.
