If you don’t see yours, reach out and connect. Sometimes the easiest way to find the right answer is simply to have a conversation—and our Discovery Conversations are always complimentary.

WORKING WITH LIG

What is LIG Coaching & Consulting?

LIG Coaching & Consulting helps individuals, relationships, leaders, teams, and organizations create meaningful and sustainable change through personalized coaching, consulting, assessment-based insights, training, and practical tools.

For more than two decades, Marcus Straub has helped clients deepen self-awareness, strengthen communication and emotional intelligence, navigate challenges, and turn greater understanding into intentional action.

Who does Marcus work with?

Marcus works with a broad range of clients—from individuals and couples to executives, business owners, coaches, leadership teams, and entire organizations.

What they often share is a desire to understand themselves or their situation more clearly, move beyond patterns that are no longer working, and create meaningful change in their lives, relationships, leadership, or organizations.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

You don’t need to have everything figured out before beginning coaching. In fact, gaining clarity about what you want, what isn’t working, and what needs to change is often part of the process.

A Complimentary Discovery Conversation gives you and Marcus an opportunity to discuss what you’re experiencing, what you’re hoping to accomplish, and whether working together feels like the right fit.

What makes Marcus's approach different?

Marcus combines more than two decades of coaching experience with assessment sciences, emotional intelligence development, proprietary LIG frameworks, communication and listening disciplines, practical tools, and intentional accountability.

His work is designed to move beyond awareness alone. The goal is to help clients understand what is happening, recognize why it matters, and translate that understanding into practical action and sustainable change.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on before contacting LIG?

Not at all! You may have a very specific goal, or you may simply know that something isn’t working the way you want it to. Both are valid starting points.

The initial conversation helps clarify where you are, what matters most right now, and what type of support may be most useful.

Does Marcus work with clients outside Colorado?

Absolutely! Marcus works with clients locally in Grand Junction, Colorado, as well as across the nation and throughout the world through virtual coaching and consulting. In-person engagements may also be available depending on the program, organization, location, and scope of work.

COACHING PROGRAMS

What coaching programs does LIG offer?

LIG’s four primary coaching pathways are:

The Aligned Individual™ — personal growth, clarity, confidence, purpose, and life transitions

The Connected Relationship™ — communication, connection, trust, and relationship growth

The Intentional Leader™ — leadership, communication, awareness, accountability, and impact

The Caring Company™ — people, leadership, engagement, culture, and organizational effectiveness

Each provides a starting framework while allowing the actual coaching experience to be customized around the client.

Which coaching program is right for me?

You don’t need to decide that before contacting LIG.

Life, relationships, leadership, and work frequently overlap. A challenge that initially appears professional may have personal dimensions, and individual growth often influences relationships and leadership.

Your no-obligation Discovery Conversation helps identify where to begin and what type of coaching pathway best supports your goals.

Are coaching programs customized?

Every single one of them!

LIG’s programs provide structure without imposing a one-size-fits-all formula. Coaching may incorporate different combinations of conversations, assessments, tools, exercises, resources, training, and between-session support depending on your needs and goals.

How long does coaching last?

There is no single required timeline for every client.

Program length, coaching frequency, assessments, level of support, and integration are customized based on your goals, circumstances, desired outcomes, and the nature of the work.

These details are discussed during the Discovery Conversation before any commitment is made.

What happens during a Complimentary Discovery Conversation?

The Discovery Conversation is an opportunity for you and Marcus to talk about what brings you to LIG, what you’re experiencing, what you’d like to change or create, and what kind of support may be most helpful.

It’s also an opportunity to ask questions, learn more about Marcus’s approach, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.

There is no pressure or obligation to enroll. Ever.

How much does coaching cost?

Because LIG coaching is personalized, investment varies based on the scope and length of the engagement, coaching frequency, assessment selection, level of support, and other components that may be included.

After your Discovery Conversation and a clearer understanding of your needs, appropriate options and investment can be discussed.

ASSESSMENTS

What assessments does LIG use?

Marcus works with multiple assessment sciences that can provide insight into behavior, motivation, emotional intelligence, thinking and perception, competencies, engagement, and other dimensions of individual and organizational effectiveness.

Depending on the client and objective, these may include DISC, 12 Driving Forces®, Emotional Quotient (EQ), Acumen Capacity Index (ACI), DNA/Competencies, Multi-Science assessments, 8 Factors of Engagement®, Target Selling Insights, and The Indigo Assessment.

Do I need to take an assessment to work with Marcus?

Not necessarily.

Assessments are tools—not requirements. Marcus recommends them when the information they provide can meaningfully support the coaching, development, relationship, leadership, or organizational work being done.

How are assessments used in coaching?

An assessment is not treated as a stand-alone report.

Marcus helps clients understand what their results mean, connect those insights to real situations and patterns, and determine how the information can be applied to communication, relationships, decisions, leadership, performance, personal development, and other relevant goals.

The value isn’t simply in taking an assessment. It’s in what you do with what you learn.

I already have a DISC report. Can Marcus work with my existing results?

Possibly.

If you have an existing assessment report, let Marcus know during your Discovery Conversation. Whether it can be incorporated will depend on the assessment, report, provider, age of the results, and the work you’re looking to do.

Are assessments only for business and leadership?

Absolutely not!

In fact, assessment insights are extremely valuable in personal development, relationships, communication, career transitions, family dynamics, and other areas of life.

The same information that helps someone understand how they lead at work can also deepen their understanding of how they communicate at home, respond under pressure, make decisions, or interact with people who see the world differently.

TRAINING, TEAMS & ORGANIZATIONS

Does LIG work with teams and organizations?

Indeed!

IG works with leaders, teams, and organizations to strengthen communication, leadership, engagement, accountability, trust, culture, and organizational effectiveness. Marcus also has extensive experience working with small to mid-sized, family-owned and operated businesses, where the dynamics of leadership, relationships, family, and business often intersect.

Engagements are customized based on the organization’s needs and may incorporate consulting, coaching, assessments, team development, facilitated training, and ongoing integration.

What is Listening with Integrity™?

Listening with Integrity™ is LIG’s proprietary listening discipline designed to help people recognize the subtle and often unconscious patterns that interfere with how they listen, communicate, and connect.

Participants learn to identify Listening Blocks and use Catch • Stop • Redirect (CSR™) to interrupt reactive patterns and develop more intentional listening habits.

Listening with Integrity™ can be applied personally and professionally and is available for individuals, teams, leaders, organizations, and other groups.

Can LIG customize training for our organization?

That’s our area of expertise!

Organizational training and development is tailored around the team’s goals, challenges, participants, existing dynamics, and desired outcomes.

Depending on the engagement, training may also be combined with assessments, coaching, proprietary LIG frameworks, pre-work, post-session integration, or follow-up support.

Can LIG help with employee engagement?

Yes!

Marcus’s certification in 8 Factors of Engagement® adds another science-based tool for exploring engagement across individuals, teams, and organizations.

The model examines Purpose, Accountability, Resources, Trust, Care, Recognition, Development, and Agility to identify where engagement is strong, where people may be getting stuck, and where focused action can support improvement.

Mentorship & PRofessional Development

Does Marcus mentor coaches, consultants, and other practitioners?

Yes!

The LIG Mentorship Academy was created for coaches, consultants, leaders, and practitioners who want to deepen their ability to interpret assessment insights, coach the human being behind the report, and translate knowledge into practical, real-world application.

Do I need assessment experience to enroll in the Mentorship Academy?

Not at all!

Mentorship pathways are personalized around your current experience, certifications, goals, professional role, and the assessment sciences or coaching skills you want to develop.

A Mentorship Academy Discovery Conversation is the best way to explore readiness, alignment, and the appropriate starting point.

Can Marcus help me become certified in assessment sciences?

Certification needs and pathways vary by assessment science and provider.

If assessment certification is part of your professional development goals, discuss it with Marcus during your Mentorship Academy Discovery Conversation so he can help you determine the appropriate pathway and how certification may fit into your broader mentorship and development.

You don’t have to know which program, assessment, training, or pathway you need before reaching out.
